de Braose (Braose)

William (d. 1211) and Reginald were both buried at Brecon. The oldest monument at Abergavenny church is the tomb of Eva de Braose, either Eva Marshal (d. 1246), widow of William (V) de Braose or her daughter, Eva (d. 1255) who married William de Cantilupe, brother of St Thomas de Cantilupe, bishop of Hereford. Indeed the effigy bears a shield with the Cantilupe fleurs de lis.
