Edmund Tudor, earl of Richmond

Born: c. 1430   Died: 1456   

He is also known as Edmund of Hadham after his birthplace, Much Hadham in Hertfordshire.

Edmund was the first earl of Richmond and father of Henry VII. He founded the Tudor dynasty. Edmund died of the plague in Carmarthen and was buried at the Franciscan friary but later removed to St David's Cathedral.
