Wax impression from fifteenth-century seal belonging to Talley Abbey

The figure of the abbot, seated and mitred, is flanked on either side by a lily in a pot (symbol of the Vigin Mary). Above is the Lamb of God and the inscription: S' ABBTIS CONVENT' MONSTRIBE MARIE DE TALLEY (seal of the Abbot and convent of the blessed Mary of Talley)
